Anamorphic images or drawings are pictures distorted in such a way so that a viewer can’t see the real picture at first sight. In order to see the picture, the viewer needs to use some reflective object or in this case, a cylinder. The images in this post are done by Hungarian illustrator István Orosz who, without a doubt, mastered this technique. Anamorphic images are first carefully planned and then hand-drawn in such a way that every straight line on the cylinder is actually a rather complex curve on the canvas.
